Under $200 Early Fall Finds

Hello, hello. Having a hard time believing summer is almost over. Why does it always go by so quickly? I thought it was time to do a roundup of some under $200 finds. Most of my round up are pieces that are actually under $100 and many under $50.

  • A friend of mine was wearing a pair of sandals by the brand Flattered the other day and when I went to their website I saw these amazing flats. They look just like the Manolo Ballerimu flats but for a fraction of the price.
  • I always look at Mango for some fun new seasonal pieces. This maxi dress caught my eye in the prettiest color and print. I also love this sweater.
  • This skirt that I've shared has been one of my summer best sellers. Such a great price point and the quality is great. Throw on one of the Naadam cashmere sweaters mentioned above and you are ready for fall.
  • Waiting for this quilted jacket to come back in my size. If your size is available I would grab it now!

Spring Style for Under $200

TOP:: Sézane (c/o) // JEANS:: Citizens // CHAIR:: One Kings Lane // RUG:: Stanton Carpet (via Redicut Westport) // TABLE:: Phillips Collection

Who else needs a break from all of the Coronavirus talk? It's a good chunk of what I've been thinking about lately and I think it's safe to say I'm not alone on that one. We are supposed to be going to Florida on Sunday and I've heard mixed opinions on whether or not people should be traveling or staying home. My husband and I decided this morning we will be staying put. For one, it's the right thing to do. The most compelling articles I've read have stated how important it is for us to stay put. "Social distancing" not just to keep us from getting sick but to keep us from getting other, more vulnerable people sick. We had to cancel our spring break plans last year because we all (even Ellie at five months old) came down with the worst case of the flu. It included two hospital visits and it was quite scary. Is it disappointing to have to miss out on spring break for the second year in a row? Yes. Is it the end of the world? Absolutely not. There will be plenty more trips in the future and I truly think we are doing what's best for our family and for those around us. The schools in our area have all been closed and I just placed a large order on Amazon of kid crafts to keep us occupied for the next few weeks. Let's hope the weather cooperates and we can spend time playing outside in the backyard/riding bikes in the driveway!

Now...for a little Coronavirus distraction! One of you sweet ladies asked if I could do a roundup of under $200 spring picks and I've been linking pieces all week. So here you go! I hope a little shopping gives you a much needed distraction. Xo

Sézane has some really beautiful pieces for decent prices. They recently gave me a credit to shop their site and I picked out this blouse featured in these photos. The colors are beautiful and work well for fall as well.

I really love a top or dress with a smocked bodice. This top by Reformation is so pretty and would be perfect with a pair of high waisted denim. I also like this top from H&M, this one by Rachel Pally (comes in dress form as well), and this one by WAYF

An Ann Taylor ad popped up in my Instagram feed the other day and I found some really pretty things. This floral appliqué sweater, this blazer and these jeans.

This might be my new spring jacket.

Fall Style Under $150

SWEATER:: Line & Dot (on sale!)

Currently sipping on some coffee, trying to climb out of that post weekend haze. We had a really nice weekend filled with sports, pumpkin patches, football games and family time. We capped off our nice fall weekend with a broken dryer :[ We are hopefully having it repaired tomorrow and if that doesn't work then a new one will be coming by the end of the week. Oh well!

I spent the morning at a beautiful lighting showroom in Norwalk called Chloe Winston. I went with Emily to pick out some light fixtures for our entry way, dining room and possibly our front porch. It is such a beautiful showroom with countless brands and styles. I'll be sharing more about it later (also sharing some snaps on stories!) but wanted to rave about it quickly now because I know so many of you are in the process of decorating your homes. What I loved most was the range of prices. There is something for everyone. If you are in the market for lighting, you need to check out Chloe Winston. Candace and Rina (the owners) are both so knowledgeable and so kind. They've built a beautiful business!

I have gotten some requests to share some style steals on the blog. I've been rounding up pieces over the past few weeks and wanted to share them today!

Little Lace Top // Summer Neutrals

TOP:: Zara // JEANS:: Levi's // SANDALS:: Hermes (lookalike here) // BAG:: Chanel // SUNGLASSES:: Ray-Ban // EARRINGS:: Madewell

I haven't done a simple outfit post on the blog in a while and wanted to share this outfit mixed with high and low pieces. The lace top I bought from Zara back in May and whenever I wear it I always get asked about it. It's $39! It is 100% sheer so I just put a cotton cami I already had under it. I wore it with highwaisted Levi's and my Hermes Oran sandals and tan Chanel bag. I hate using the word "dupe" so I use lookalike instead- if you love the look of the Hermes sandals, I found this "lookalike" style which is much more affordable and really looks just like the real deal. My hoops are my go-tos and are by Madewell. I actually have a few pairs because I wear them so often and I'm always afraid I'll lose one. Happy Saturday, everyone! Xo

Under $200

SKIRT:: Faithfull (here and here) // TEE:: Club Monaco // JACKET:: IRO // BOOTIES:: Alexander Wang // BAG:: Celine // NECKLACE:: Asha

It has been almost two weeks since we've been in the new house and I think we are finally starting to feel more at home here. The first week was a bit of an adjustment not only for me and Chris but for the kids as well. While I'm still figuring out which light switch turns on which lights, the kids are still getting used to the fact that this house is their new home and we won't be going back to our old one. My two year old Charlie was really confused. Every time I drove him home from school last week, the second we would turn into our new driveway he would start crying and say "not this house mom, the other house." The first day he did this my heart sank a bit because I was feeling somewhat "homesick" too. I feel like I still have a million and one things to do and have so many things to unpack and organize but it's extremely hard getting anything done when I have four kids to take care of. I'm just trying to do a little at a time. So we will probably be unpacked and settled by fall :)

It has been awhile since I posted style steals! My skirt was one of the most popular purchases this month and sizes have pretty much run out everywhere :( There are a few left here and here. I was browsing the H&M website and I was so shocked at all of the beautiful pieces they have right now. This dress for $20! I just ordered it and I'm hoping it fits and looks ok. I also think this style would be beautiful belted. I needed a simple dress like this to wear during the day- I got it in the dark grey color. I also love this tee with the little heart for $5. These espadrilles look just like the Castaner ones.

Anthropologie also has some great finds right now. How cute is this little bag? I also love this top. I'm also on a bit of a hair accessory kick and love these and these.

A $12.99 sweater that I actually love...who knew?! When I bought this sweater from H&M, I envisioned myself wearing it tucked into my high waisted denim. Obviously that is not how I can wear it these days but I'm hoping that maybe I might be able to do that a few months from now (fingers crossed). This sweater inspired me to do a large roundup of under $100 style steals. Check them out below! Xo

Weekend Deals & Steals

I'm sorry I've been a bit MIA here on the blog. If you are following on Instagram you've seen we've been having a great time on Nantucket! The weather has been perfect and the kids have been tiring themselves out daily at the beach. It's a bit overcast today so I have some time to put together a quick weekend sales post! A few noteworthy sales and sale items::

  • MACYS:: one day sale with tons of deals. Not going to lie, I don't really shop here but a quick google search showed a dress I had had my eye on was marked down 50%. I just ordered this dress. Not sure how it will fit but we will see next week when it comes! Just came across this utility jacket by Levis and can't believe it's 50% off! I also think this could be a pretty beach dress. This jumpsuit has also been really popular this summer and it's on sale for $66.
Hope you are all having a great weekend! Xo

Summer Style Steals

DRESS:: Urban Outfitters // EARRINGS:: Rebecca de Ravenel (much less expensive option here) // SHOES:: old but love this style // BAG:: Beau & Ro (similar here and here

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. We spent all of Saturday morning and early afternoon at the beach and then decided to take the kids out to dinner. We promised the kids ice cream if they were on their best behavior at dinner (and they were, yay!) and drove to Rye to my favorite ice cream shop- Longford's! So good FYI.

I'm not going to lie, I'm starting to feel a bit uncomfortable at night and did not sleep well at all Saturday night. I woke up Sunday morning in a semi-panicked state worrying about all of the stuff I have to do before this baby comes. We were really hoping to have found our next home before baby but it's not looking like it's in the cards at this point. We are still looking at houses like crazy but haven't found the one yet (aka checking Zillow multiple times a day). In the meantime, I have to rearrange everybody's rooms. We have four bedrooms upstairs right now including the master which means two kids get to bunk up- we are thinking it might work best for Hunter and Lila to share since they will be on the same schedule. Hunter and Lila will be moving into Charlie's room, Charlie will be moving into Lila's room, and the baby will be going into Charlie's room. Pretty much every piece of furniture needs to be moved around and every room needs to be repainted. I have the strong urge to "nest" but I'm stuck in limbo until we get everybody moved! All good problems to have and I'm happy to have them- just a bit stressful!

On to today's post- I thought it would be a good time to share some more style steals. I recently popped into my local Urban Outfitters, which I have not shopped in in years, and found this dress in all white. I tried it on and surprisingly it fit and felt really comfortable on. When I checked online I saw it also came in this pretty blue floral print and decided to order it as well. It comes in three colors FYI! If you are in your this trimester I would definitely go one size up!

Also has anyone shopped at Chicwish? I placed an online order, I think it was about three years ago, and was really disappointed with everything. I think I ordered two sweaters and they both smelled like chemicals. I've heard it's gotten much better and I know so many different bloggers who shop and order from them. I decided I'm going to give it one more try and order a few things- if you haven't ordered from them before I will be your guinea pig! I thought this was a really cute embroidered dress that I could probably also wear with jeans. I also have wanted to try this heart cardigan forever. It comes in a ton of colors and also comes in mini me sizes! Would love to order one for Lila and baby girl!

Weekend Favorite Finds

DRESS:: Faithfull the Brand // SHOES:: Old (love these) // BAG:: Sensi Studio // SUNGLASSES:: Le Specs // EARRINGS:: Bronzallure (similar here for $24)

Pretty much always in a dress these days and this one is one of the comfiest. This dress by Faithfull the Brand has sold out on just about every site but this one which has it in stock in every size. I love a midi dress and I especially love a light weight linen one. It works so well with a bump and the adjustable straps make it easy to fit on every body type.

I decided since I never did a Friday Favorites post I would do a roundup of some of my favorite finds this week. I just browsed the new arrivals section on Anthropologie and some of their sweaters are getting me really excited for fall. Don't get me wrong, I love everything about summer but I absolutely love when hints of the new fall lines start to come out. I loved the brand Sleeping on Snow last year and ended up getting a few sweaters of theirs. How comfy and cozy does this pullover sweater and this cardigan sweater look? I have them both in my cart! I also love this caftan for the beach and this dress is so different.

I saw this Free People midi dress on Shopbop earlier this week and immediately put it in my hearts. I'm not usually a free people person because I find the fit is almost always off for me but I really want to try this one!

SALE FINDS:: Obviously the biggest sale happening right now is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I ended up browsing the sale yesterday in store but almost everything was sold out in my size. I ended up doing an online order yesterday and got this Vince sweater, these mules, this palette and this one as well, and this sweater (which I never saw in store but looks like something I would love to hang out in at home). I told myself I was done after yesterday's purchase but someone woke me up at 5am this morning and while he (who I will not name...my oldest...) watched Paw Patrol I did some more sale browsing. I ended up getting these sneakers- I'll have to see what they look like on but thought for the price they could be a really good fall and winter staple AND this Vince cardigan in the cream color that I absolutely loved in store was restocked in my size so I decided to buy it as well. (slight panic after my purchases)

I also wanted to share some non Nordstrom sale finds with you. I got so many comments and questions about this hat by Hat Attack and it is now on sale for $69. If I did not have a massive belly right now I would 100% buy this jumpsuit which is seriously marked down.

Ok enough for now...off to the beach with my fam! There is a boutique below of some favorite finds. Hope you all have a great weekend! xo

Under $150

TOP:: Loft // JEANS:: J Brand // SHOES:: Castaner // BAG:: Palmer & Purchase (same here) // SUNGLASSES:: Le Specs

Happy Friday! Hope everyone had a good week. Ours was pretty good given my husband was away for work from Monday to Thursday. The kids actually slept all night for me and slept past 6 a few mornings which never happens.  I binged watched This is Us because I was way waaaaay behind on Season 2 and I forgot how much I love that show. I feel like it's the last good show left on TV. Speaking of shows, we are in serious need of new series to watch. We can't seem to agree on anything! Send me a DM or leave a comment here if you have a show you absolutely love!

I figured I'd end the week with a Style Steals post featuring items under $150. I ordered this top on a whim a few weeks ago and think it's such an easy, classic Spring to Summer blouse. It has enough room for a bump and I'll definitely wear it next season tucked into white jeans. My sunglasses are also another favorite of mine. I've had them for over a year now and I love the shade of both the lens and the frame. They are super affordable at under $60!
