An Orange Office

This post has been a long time coming but I am finally ready to unveil my orange office! I have always wanted an office in my home, just a little space to call totally my own. When we first moved into this apartment two years ago (whew that was fast!) I knew that this room with the pocket doors and (bonus a full bath!) would be my office space.

I really love pops of bright color in small spaces. Orange and gold are one of my favorite combos. I bought my cow hide rug first and worked from there. I had my desk (love this one!) and lucite chair from our old apartment and luckily both fit seamlessly into this new space. After the desk, rug and the chair I brought my favorite Gray Malin photos to be matted and framed. The colors of the sunset in the Prada Marfa really went beautifully with my color scheme for the room.

I really prefer a clean desk space over a cluttered one. My gold letter holder is actually from Target! I really love all the hidden gem's you can find there. Whether it's Target or Paper Source I absolutely love note pads, and sticky notes or even stationary. There is something about paper goods that I find very charming.
When I saw this canvas piece I knew it was the finishing touch for the office. I reminds me of the sunsets we saw in Africa and it just captures the orange and the gold beautifully. I also love this piece and this piece.

I take pride in styling my Jonathan Adler étagère. It can be very difficult to style so many pieces and make them look uniformed but effortless ( it's very confusing!) All of the pieces on the étagère are really a mix of splurges and steals. I will always spend money on beautiful coffee table books. They are one of my favorite pieces to use on shelves, nightstands or end tables.

The lucite frames I scooped up at A.I. Friedman which were fun to pair with the lucite book ends. How cute are these pineapple bookends!? You can also tell I REALLY love my furry friend Penelope, since I had this silhouette from Minted made. The silhouettes can be color or metallic and are honestly such a great gift ( dog or human!)

The beaded lion is actually from Africa, they were all over the market's and it was something really cool to add to our shelf. I have this gold elephant in my living room! I also propped up the larger prints with clear stands from A.I. Friedman. They were crucial to get the larger pieces at an angle and to not worry about them falling!

Hoping to add this one and this one to our "travel" Assouline collection!

Spotted! Another Gray Malin piece in my office. My Beaches book is actually signed by Gray! And if you haven't read Grace yet, I highly recommend it. Yes, another photo of my furry friend!

I think my favorite element about this space is the ceiling. I papered the ceiling with tiny gold dots and pulled the trigger on this light fixture. Papered ceilings - like my foyer, are a really fun way to incorporate pattern without spending a ton of money wallpapering the entire room.
