Made Pretty Well

TOP:: Madewell // JEANS:: J Brand // EARRINGS:: Madewell // BAG:: Kayu // SHOES:: Jimmy Choo (less expensive option here) // BRACELETS :: Madewell

First off- I just want to thank those of you who took our survey! All of your responses are extremely insightful and we promise to take everything you said and incorporate it into our blog. If you would like to take it, you can find it here. We will keep it open for the next week or so.

About 90% of you who took the survey said you really liked seeing our outfit posts and would like to see more of them. We are definitely going to keep them coming and will definitely try to up the amount. We also had some requests to see more of what we wear daily- not just the styled pictures. We were thinking our "stories" on Instagram would be a great place to start sharing those. If you aren't registered with LIKEtoKNOW.it yet, we highly recommend doing so. You can also download their app and we promise it will change your entire shopping experience! We will put together a post later this week with some of the feedback we got from you guys and how we plan on implementing it into our blog. THANK YOU, thank you to all of you who take the time to check us out- whether it's every day or once a week. We are so appreciative! Now onto the outfit!

I promise this is not a sponsored Madewell post. I saw these earrings at my sister-in-law's bachelorette party a few weeks ago (which was a ton of fun) and knew I had to have them. I told you before, I am a hoop girl. I remember when I first got my ears pierced I begged to trade in my dull stud earrings for hoops but I don't think hoop earrings were allowed at school so it was a no go (or did my mom lie to me??) Once I moved on to high school though, (small) hoops were fair game and became a part of my uniform. These Madewell ones are front facing and have a slightly edgier feel to them. And the best part is- they are $32!

On to the top:: I originally went into Madewell to buy the earrings (and the earrings only) and saw one of the sales associates unpacking a box of these freshly shipped tops. I actually had the white version in my hand, but there was something about this blue striped one that I loved. The details on the sleeve are so pretty and once again, the price was right ($59.50) so this top came home with me, too. And the bracelets (on sale) were just sitting at the check out counter begging me to purchase them. I actually didn't see them at first. Lila was sitting on my hip and playing with them while I was purchasing the earrings and top. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree...

Shoes:: I rarely (pretty much never) splurge on shoes. I've said it before but as much as I LOVE shoes, I just get serious guilt if I purchase an expensive pair. UNLESS I know I'm going to wear the hell out of them and then I don't feel as guilty. These Jimmy Choo shoes are one of those pairs. They had been at the top of my wishlist for a while and I knew I would wear them a ton because of the shorter heel. It also helped that I had some credit to Saks from a few Christmas gifts which knocked the price down. I've already worn them a bunch and LOVE them. They come in a few other colors and a higher heel if that's your thing. If you like the look and not the price tag, I found this option which is almost identical.

Bag:: Nothing says summer like a straw bag. I bought this KAYU one during Shopbop's sale and love it. It sold out really quickly but I found it here. If you are looking for a bigger straw tote, this one is my favorite. The neutral tassels are such pretty detail. And if you are looking for a less expensive option, this one is so cute! And the colors are perfect for summer!
