Happy Monday Tuesday, everyone! (I meant to post this yesterday!) Hope you all enjoyed the first official weekend of summer. We had a really nice and easy weekend. We went on a few hikes, did some swimming, and celebrated all things Dad. 

This morning we started replanting and fixing up our backyard. When we moved in last year, the entire yard and pool area looked like a jungle and everything was overgrown, some plants were totally dead and really funky looking. We had everything ripped out in the fall and just started planting today. I tend to like a very clean landscape design with not too much going on. We ordered all of our plants from Valley View (such great prices!) Fingers crossed it all turns out ok!  

On to today's post! I seem to be reaching for my maxi skirts over my dresses lately. I almost always pair my skirts with a cotton tee or tank (love this fitted tank) for a fast and easy way to get dressed in the morning. However, I saw this top on Joie months ago and loved the cut of it and the tortoise belt ring and thought it would be a really fun way to dress up my maxi skirt.
