Friday Favorites

Happy (almost) weekend, everyone! Looks like we are going to be seeing some fall weather this weekend and I'm excited about it. We have another busy weekend but I'm not complaining. I was a sucker at the grocery checkout line yesterday and bought one of those $13 magazines dedicated to soups and stew recipes and I'm going to test some out this weekend. Will it be the best $13 I've spent or the worst? Time will tell. I'll be sure to share with you!

It's been a while since I shared a Friday Favorites post and wanted to tell you about a few things I've been loving lately.

1. Kari Gran Cleansing Oil:: I've been using a cleansing oil for almost a year now and it has seriously changed my skin. I recently switched to Kari Gran's facial oil in August and I've been loving it. Most people are hesitant when they see a facial cleanser that's oil based and I completely understand. BUT cleansing oils are the best way to break down dirt, makeup, draw out impurities, and it's super gentle on the skin and doesn't leave you feeling dry. I use a few pumps of this cleansing oil and basically give myself a little facial massage. I rinse with cool water and follow up with a gel/cream cleanser. I've been switching it up between this one by La Creme (a new line I've been testing out thanks to my friend Julie from Skin NY) and my old faithful, Acure Brightening Cleanser.

2. After finishing The Office back in the spring, Chris and I were desperate for a light and fun series to watch. My husband is a tough critic and it took us a while but we finally settled on Schitt's Creek and to say we are obsessed is an understatement. Not going to lie, it took us a bit to get into. The first few episodes were just so-so but now we are in full on love. Moira and David are my favorites and I find myself speaking in a Moira accent throughout the day. Day-ved! We also watched Fleabag and it was also really really good- a definite darker comedy.

3. These ruffle vases came this week that I ordered from Megan Molten and they are so fun and different. I currently have them on our console table (which I can't wait to show you!) but I think I'm going to put them in Lila's room on her dresser. She helped me open the package and loved them. I told her if she promised to leave them on her dresser and not play with them then they could stay in her room. She is my little hurricane though so I'm not sure how that's going to play out.

4. I know this isn't very exciting for most of you but my oldest got this Bingo game for his birthday and we packed it up right before we moved. We finally unpacked it over the weekend and my kids are obsessed. The best part is they can play without me and since the boards are magnetic, it doesn't make a mess! Great for travel, too!

5. Finally, I've been on the hunt for new planters for our front porch. We need high ones and I want a more modern look. I love the way zinc planters weather and have my eyes set on these by Restoration Hardware. Also want these lanterns for our stairs!

Happy Friday, everyone! Xo
