Shopbop Event of the Season Sale

SWEATER:: Line & Dot (also comes in ivory) // JEANS:: Citizens // SHOES:: Vince (old) // BAG:: Chanel

I did a little happy dance yesterday when I checked my email and then quickly got to work BECAUSE It's one of my favorite sales of the season! Shopbop just launched their Event of the Season Sale with up to 25% off sitewide with code STOCKUP19. I always spend a lot of time combing through Shopbop's sitewide sales and love coming up with the best round ups. It's never good for my wallet but I love helping you guys find the best pieces from the sale. Some people say "use this time to pick up basics" and others say "it's the perfect time to get those special pieces." I say you should buy whatever it is you love most! And remember, Shopbop has the easiest return process!
  • Budget Friendly Top: This top has been around for a few years and it's beautiful. Love it in the ivory and it also comes in navy.
  • I'm still not sure if the menswear blazer look is for me but if I were to test out the trend, it would be with this one.
  • The last pair of wooden hoops I bought broke (different designer) so I just bought these and I'm hoping they work. I love the wooden hoop trend.

Favorite Dresses for Fall

DRESS:: Mango // BOOTS:: Stuart Weitzman // BAG:: Celine // EARRINGS:: Bronzallure, similar here

I was trying to figure out if OTK boots are still considered "in" these days but then remembered, I don't really care because I love them. Truly love them. I have had both of my Stuart Weitzman pairs for years now and they are always the first boots I reach for whenever I'm wearing a shorter dress. The color that I'm wearing is no longer available but I love them in this grey. I also love wearing them with midi dresses and skirts for a layered look. These black Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots are currently 41% off and just so happen to be available in all sizes. If any of you are a size 10.5 buy this pair now! They are 70% off and the prettiest slate color. And if you are a 7.5- this pair is also seriously marked down and love the shorter chunkier heel.

I recently switched out my closet from spring/summer to fall/winter and my dress collection shrunk by 70% which got me thinking I could use one or two new fall dresses. This mini one I picked up from Mango a few weeks back and it (along with this maxi style) have been best sellers on the blog. I just ordered this one and it comes today. I'm hoping it's as good as the other two! I also really love this ribbed style. I saw this dress on H&M the other morning when I was putting this post together and was planning on ordering it but now my size is sold out! I love it in the leopard, too.

THE SEPTEMBER EDIT

SWEATER:: Tanya Taylor via Fred // JEANS:: Mother via Fred // BAG:: Chanel

Happy Friday people! I'm working on finishing up some home projects- it's taking forever- and will hopefully have some rooms photographed and ready for the blog in the next few weeks. I'm still trying to figure out what I want in my living room and dining room. My mind changes on the daily and I'm really taking my time to make sure I don't make a mistake.

In the meantime, I have some fun style posts coming your way. Fall is my favorite time when it comes to dressing. I'm typically a no fuss kind of gal and want easy pieces to throw on during the week when I'm running around with the kids. Sweaters, jeans, and sneakers are my go-to. I also LOVE dressing up every now and then and typically go for a pretty midi dress or midi skirt with booties or boots and leather or suede Moto jacket.

  • I've been on a cropped cardigan kick with high waisted jeans and love this style by Something Navy. I've ordered two SN pieces and haven't been all that impressed but something is telling me third time's a charm?
  • I want everything Ulla Johnson this season. Ulla Johnson is hands down my favorite line and I love all of the new fall pieces. I might have ordered this blouse
  • I LOVE these flats and have been eying the original by Nicholas Kirkwood. These ones are now 60% off and so cute. Going to order. So much of what was included in the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is now 40-60% off! Including this leather jacket that was sold out that so many of you wanted!

Zoe Lev Jewelry Promo Code

NECKLACES:: Horn Necklace, Initial Necklace, Haverhill Birthstone Necklace, Diamond Bezel necklace similar here

I know so many of you have been waiting for this- a promo code for Zoe Lev Jewelry! I can't tell you how many times I'm asked about my pave diamond initial necklace by Zoe Lev. I think just about daily. I discovered Zoe Lev through my sister who had a charm locket made after her daughter was born. I was obsessed with it but decided to go a different route and ordered the initial necklace with the initials of my four children. It is so special and so beautiful and I never take it off. Zoe Lev has so kindly offered my readers a 20% promo code on their site: INMYCLOSET.

All of the Zoe Lev jewelry is gorgeous. Some other favorites of mine: this horn necklace that I'm wearing above, this initial ring, love how dainty this pave eternity band is, this diamond bangle, this moonstone ring, and I could go on and on and on. I highly suggest giving the site a good browse. It's never too early to start your holiday wishlist! If you end up purchasing something, I would LOVE to see it! Xo

Fall Trend Report :: The Midi Skirt

SKIRT:: Joie // TOP:: Reformation // BOOTIES:: Alexander Wang (in black)  // BAG:: Celine // NECKLACE:: Asha, Zoe Lev, Haverhill // EARRINGS:: Madewell

I saw this Joie Pealle midi skirt back in August and purchased it on the spot because I knew it would be perfect not only for fall but all year round. It's a neutral snakeskin print in a flowy silk which allows you to wear it with a simple tee or tank in the hot summer months and with a chunky sweater in the cool months. I feel like midi skirts are a definite style staple because of their versatility. They can be dressed up or down in a matter of seconds and are so easy and comfortable to wear. I'm going to show you how to style this Joie one multiple ways a little later on Instagram stories today so make sure you check it out!

For this look, I paired my midi skirt with this simple Reformation tee which is amazing by the way. It's fitted and I love the ribbed texture. I wore it a few days ago with jeans and sandals and it will be my go to for layering this fall and winter. You know I love my gold jewelry and I layered my necklaces and some of my favorite bracelets.

I'm 100% on board with the midi skirt trend and I know it will be around for a long time. If you are looking for a style steal skirt, I love this pleated one from H&M. And I LOVE this one from Mango. This cardigan would be so pretty paired with a midi skirt- it caught my eye so quickly this morning and it was an instant "add to cart" for me. This vegan leather skirt is really pretty and luxe looking.  I've rounded up some of my favorite midi skirts as well as what to wear on top, below! Happy Friday people! xo

Back to School Fall Finds

The kids went back to school this morning and this day is always so much harder for me than it is for them. I'm a natural born worrier and always sit and stare at the clock, waiting for pick up on the first day of school. Will they have a good first day? Will they like their teachers? Will their teachers like them? Are they ok? About a million and one questions bounce back and fourth around my head. I keep reminding myself, I'm sending my kids off to school, not war. They will be fine! I decided to distract myself with a blog post. I'm rounding up some new favorite fall finds and sharing a few new pieces that I bought recently and LOVE.

  • I shared the Mango dresses I bought last week on stories the other day and it was probably one of my most popular stories session. Do you all like to see try ons like that? I feel a little awkward doing them but know it's helpful to see clothing on. Anyways, I'm wearing this maxi dress today and it is definitely my favorite dress that I ordered from Mango. Sizes are running low! I also bought this shorter style and this fancier satin tie dress. The video and pictures don't do the satin dress justice. It is soooo beautiful in person. The material is soft and buttery and looks really luxe. I'm also a sucker for the teal color.
  • Denim. I've had to get rid of a ton of my old jeans that didn't have a high waist. After four c sections, my incision site is still super sensitive and the only jeans that feel comfortable are my high waisted pairs. I always shop for jeans at Anthropologie because they carry so many petite lengths. I HATE hemming jeans so I always try and look for cropped styles and petite styles. My all time favorite jean brand is Citizens of Humanity. I just feel like they always fit really well. I bought this style from Anthro and they are the most comfortable thing in the world. They look vintage and stiff but they are really comfortable with a nice stretch.
  • I'm really loving this jacket and loving the price tag as well. Looks so cozy.

Saks Off Fifth Finds

Hello there! Hope you all are enjoying the long weekend. It's kind of an overcast and dreary day here in CT. The weather today is very fitting as it is the unofficial last day of summer and we are feeling down about it over here. I shouldn't say "we" because my kids are actually excited for the first day of school. I, on the other hand, have always been a little weary when it comes to change and would have loved another week or two of lazy days at the beach.

Anyways, I wanted to share a few favorite finds from Saks Off Fifth which is Saks Fifth Avenue's outlet site. I always find such great deals here. Some of my favorites like Joie, IRO, Vince, Stuart Weitzman are all marked down up to 65%. You can even find some great Golden Goose sneakers marked down as well.

  • Fall is the time for comfy flannel shirts and there are tons of Rails on sale.
