Nordstrom Anniversary Sale :: Women's Clothing & Shoes

While summer is still in full swing, the sale that always gets me excited for fall has just launched. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale's early access just started this morning for Nordstrom Card Members. I have shopped this sale every year since I was a kid. My mom would take my sisters and I to Nordstrom every year during the Anniversary Sale to pick out some "back to school" clothing and shoes. Sneakers were always the number one thing we shopped for. I still love shopping this sale and always scope out the kid's sections as well for my kiddies.

For those that follow a ton of other bloggers- I know this sale can get super annoying so I don't plan on shoving it down your throats. My one piece of advice is: if you do have a Nordstrom card and see a few things you really like, buy them now. Unfortunately things do sell out pretty quickly. Nordstrom has a great return policy so you can always return. I waited too long last year and missed out on some sweaters and boots I had my eye on. And if you don't have a Nordstrom card, seriously don't worry. There will be plenty of amazing things left to shop. If you see things you like just take a screenshot or bookmark them and you can always go back to see if they are still available when the sale is open to everyone.

PS:: I had to divide these posts up into two posts. One will be women's clothing and shoes and the other will be beauty and accessories. Here is my women's clothing and shoes roundup.

Here are a few can't miss things:
  • DESIGNER OUTERWEAR:: I'm going to start with a few "designer" pieces that are great quality and will last season after season. I always looks at the more expensive outerwear during this sale because these items sell out quickly. I saw this faux fur coat by Vince in the catalog and got all heart eyes on it. Obsessed with the color and the cut and think it would be perfect with jeans and booties for everyday wear and for out at night. This faux fur vest and parka by Derek Lam combo jacket looks amazing. I wish they showed what the vest looked like outside of the jacket but regardless this looks like it could be a fall and winter staple piece. This wool cashmere coat by Theory is a closet staple. It will never go out of style and the color is classic. If you are looking to invest in a coat you can come back to year after year, this is the one.
  • STYLE STEAL OUTERWEAR:: If you are looking for more inexpensive outwear options here are my favorites: I can see myself living in this fleece jacket. Paired with jeans or leggings, I can totally picture myself running around the kids to and from school, the park, and everything in between in this jacket. It looks so incredibly comfortable. The pullover version also looks amazing. I guarantee both of these will sell out. If you are looking for an everyday parka this olive green one is really pretty and versatile. This coat by BCBGENERATION is on my wishlist 100%- the color and the collar are so unique. And last but not least, this bomber jacket. For $58 I think I might have to order it!
  • DENIM:: I'm a denim junkie and proud of it. I live in my jeans and always buy a few new pairs each year. I love this pair with the side stripe- very different and this brand is one of my faves. Everybody needs a good pair of grey denim in their closets and this pair looks like a winner. The charcoal color is perfect for both fall and winter.
  • TOPS & BLAZERS:: If I had to pick one statement piece from this sale this blazer by Rebecca Taylor would be it- such a classic cut and style. It reminds me of my IRO one that I wear all the time except in a beautiful blue tweed. This blouse is the perfect date night top but can also be worn casually at work and during the day.
  • SWEATERS:: Honestly there are way too many I love and this will be really hard to narrow down. But I'll give it a go. Ive heard such great things about these cardigans from Barefoot Dreams. Since I'll be spending a lot of time at home with the new baby I need comfy, cozy, and easy sweaters and I think I might give this one a try. It also comes in this style which I love. I always scope out the Vince sweaters (my favorite) that are apart of the sale and there are ton included this year. This one is at the top of my list and I also love this one in the camel. Not exactly a sweater, but the sleeve detail and the color of this sweatshirt is so pretty.
  • DRESSES:: I was actually pleasantly surprised with the dresses they included in this sale from some of my favorite designers. For all pregnant ladies, this dress is a closet staple. I own this dress and it's so comfortable. The price is also pretty perfect. I love the color and the cut of this dress for fall. I think it would look so pretty with a pair of pumps but you could also wear with over the knee boots or booties. I can picture myself wearing this skirt with a cropped chunky sweater and a pair of pumps or booties. I love a longer option for the fall.
  • SHOES:: once again there are so many good picks right now. Here are a few favorites: absolutely obsessed with these mule booties in the olive suede. The studded detail gives off a really cool vibe. I also love these loafer mules. And this pair by Tory Burch are at the top of my list.
  • BEAUTY & SKINCARE:: and yet again, a ton of amazing steals right now. Going to start with what I already have and LOVE:: I'm obsessed with everything by Kai, especially their body glow and their perfume oil (my staples) and both happen to be in this gift set for $58. The scent is so light and subtle (I'm not a big perfume person) and I always get asked what I'm wearing everytime I use it. The body glow mist gives your bod the perfect summer glow all year long. The only thing that seems to help my dry lips is the lip slip by Sara Happ. It also gives your lips the prettiest glossy look. The lip scrub is also amazing and they are both included in this set. The only dry shampoo and hair spray I use is by Living Proof and I always take their travel sets with me when I go away. You know I love a good glowy look on my skin- I love this palette by Bobbi Brown. I use it on my cheeks and also as an eye shadow. WHAT I WANT TO TRY: I love everything by Nars and this palette looks right up my alley. The prettiest brush set ever. This deluxe eye and cheek palette will get you a lot of bang for your buck. I pretty much always stick with a nude lip and this set looks so pretty.
  • BAGS:: This Alexander Wang bag is everything for fall- the color, the studs, and the fact that its cross body and has a zipper= A+ from this Mom. If you are looking for a less expensive option this one is so pretty and comes in three colors.
OK...I'm feeling a bit burnt out after this one! But I've rounded up the rest of my favorites below! I will make a separate men's and kid's boutique a little bit later.
