I slacked on the gift guides this year. Once I started seeing the bajillion guides other people were posting, my eyes turned numb and I would scroll right past them. I felt totally overwhelmed. Gift giving is obviously very personal so my gift choices are obviously not going to be for everyone. Instead of doing a bunch of specific guides, I decided just to do one large one. I'm rounding up some gift ideas below and I'm also highlighting a few sales happening. After chatting with some of you over DMs it's clear that the hardest people to shop for: teachers (I mean don't they deserve just about everything right now?), mother and father in laws, and husbands! Most of what I linked below is included in some sort of sale by the way!
- Let's start with teachers. So hard because we all appreciate them like no other, especially this year. I was actually a teacher in my past life- pre babies. My three sisters and my mom were also teachers. And yet we still struggle coming up with thoughtful teacher gifts. I've done everything from pretty toiletry cases, gift cards, candles (I know so typical but I'm a candle person-plus they can always regift-sorry if that seems wrong!), ornaments with a gift card, and so on. I think no matter what you end up giving, a nice note letting our teachers know how much we appreciate them is the most important. I think I did a poll last year asking my teacher readers what they actually wanted and to be honest, the answers were all over the place. Wine, giftcards, cash (!), were the most popular.
- Husbands...Another tough one. I shared this whiskey from Harrison Wine Vault a few weeks ago. It is rare- only 192 bottles of this bourbon were produced. You can take $5 off with code CHRISSY and they offer delivery. PS they also offer a 15% discount when you buy 12 or more bottles of wine! My husband and brothers in law all love this clothing brand for athletic wear. Love this pullover. These are the only swimsuits he wears- not too short but not long either and they dry super quickly.
- Father/Father-in-law gift/and maybe even husband: This one only really works if he's a football fan but this coffee table book is pretty awesome and it's also pretty to look at. The NFL celebrated their 100th anniversary last year and this book is full of amazing moments from past games. This is a total dad gift- my husband actually has it and it's super comfortable.
- Great gag gift for any Schitt's fan!
- I know candles seem like an easy gift to give but I think that they are also always nice to receive. At least I like getting them! There are tons of options on sale right now at bloomingdale's. This is one of my favorite, year round scents. This birchwood candle smells amazing and it's 25% off.
- Mother/Mother-in-law gifts. I love gifting beauty products (and I always say if they don't like it, I'll take it!) Tata Harper has beautiful and clean beauty products and everything is 25% off right now and free shipping-no code needed. I absolutely love this resurfacing mask-I might just buy one for myself. I also think this cashmere wrap makes a beautiful gift. It's perfect for using as a shawl at night and bundling up as a scarf when it really gets cold. This style is also gorgeous and a little bit lighter. These Asha earrings are perfect for mom/mil. I love the Simon Pearce glass trees and think they would make a really nice gift. A cashmere sweater is always nice and I love this style by Theory that's also on sale.
- I love this Juliska Christmas tree cookie jar. So beautiful and it would make a festive gift.
