October Update and Saks Friends & Family

SWEATER:: Alice Walk (c/o) // JEANS:: Citizens // HOOPS:: Sophie Monet (but they've broken twice- try these instead) // CANDLESTICKS:: Twos Company (small, medium, large)

Hello, October. So happy to see you. October is one of my favorite months. The kids are settled into their school routines, the temperatures are a bit crisper (except for today which is a cool 85), and we spend as much time as possible outdoors doing fall thangs! This October is extra special because we will be celebrating Elle's first birthday and to be honest, I don't know how that happened so quickly. I'm really trying to hang on to her baby phase as she is our fourth and final (cue tears). She is the easiest baby and has a really sweet (and a little bit sassy) demeanor. She's currently obsessed with Chris and the second he gets home from work, she's glued to his hip and wants no part of me. She is the sweetest little thing.

Things are moving along in our house. Our console table for our entry way came in last week and I'm so obsessed with it. I'm holding out and will share once the entry way is complete. Emily and I are headed to an amazing lighting showroom next week to pick out some light fixtures for the entry way and possibly the dining room. The picture above is our fireplace in our living room. We didn't have a fireplace in our last home (crazy) and I've always dreamt of having a mantle to decorate during the holidays. I'm currently on the hunt for a set of fire balls- I'm not even sure if thats what they are called but I saw them a year or two ago at a restaurant and I've been searching and searching. I saw a set at a home store on Nantucket but they cost $1200! Obviously, I passed. They look like this but the ones I saw looked more natural and didn't have that crazy grill thing. If you have something like this or know where I can find, pretty pretty please send me a message!

The sweater I'm wearing above is by Alice Walk. They just launched their collection of baby alpaca sweaters in four beautiful colors. I'm wearing the natural white and it's the perfect neutral. I'm typically not a green person but I'm loving their Atlantic green. Such a stunning color. The cut of the sweater is so flattering and the sleeves are perfection!

Finally, I've been meaning to share the Saks Friends & Family sale with you for a few days now! So many good finds. On the top of my list: the Nicholas Kirkwood Beya mules- I've loved these shoes for years now and I would love to add them to my closet. I'm also loving this wrap coat- it reminds me of a Vince one I bought last year. I have these Loefller Randall heels and I love them. This dress is beautiful- I wore it for a local boutique's shoot with my Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots in grey and it looked great. This IRO tweed jacket is amazing and seriously marked down. Would be perfect for holidays, too. I was so surprised to see so much fine jewelry on sale! Temple St. Clair and Meira T are my favorites. Also a ton of Lizzie Fortunato jewelry is included- loving these earrings.
