J Crew Back to School Sale

After spending a good chunk of last week and this week organizing my kids' rooms and closets, I realized they had grown out of just about everything in their drawers. I've been scrambling trying to buy a few basics to get them ready to go back to school next week. Charlie can pretty much wear just about anything to his little two year old program and he has tons of hand me downs from Hunter. But Hunter and Lila have a little bit of a dress code at their school and I needed some nicer options for them to wear everyday. J. Crew is one of my favorite places to shop for clothes for my kids but I never like paying full price there. FOR THE BOYS:: My 5 year old still has some trouble buttoning his pants and I don't want to send him to school with a potential buttoning problem in the bathroom so I always look for pants with an elastic/drawstring waist. Surprisingly they are really hard to find (most have a funny looking band at the bottom). I found this pair at J. Crew and added all four colors to my cart. I also added this long sleeve polo shirt for him as well. I added these pair of cords to my cart as well for days when I'll be around to help him button.

FOR THE GIRLS:: Lila is very tricky to dress because she only likes to wear dresses. But not any dress. I haven't figured out why she likes certain dresses better than others but she has her favorites. She's only worn maybe three or four dresses this summer (I'm basically washing them everyday) out of the many she has in her closet. I tried to show her some of the ones I found at J. Crew and as of now she says she likes them. This one, this one, and this one. I'm also taking full advantage of their huge end of summer sale and buying this bathing suit for her for next summer- at $17 you can't go wrong! I'm also adding this cute little sherpa jacket for those early crisp fall days.
