Little Lace Top

TOP:: Maje (on sale and comes in another pretty color) // JEANS:: Citizens of Humanity // SHOES:: Frye // BAG:: Chanel // EARRINGS:: Bronzallure

Hello everyone and HAPPY Valentine's Day! It's no secret this is probably my least favorite holiday. There's no particular reason why, I've just never been that into it. That's probably why you don't see a crazy Valentine's Day themed post up on the blog today...Maybe next year! Although I must say, since having kids I definitely have started enjoying it a bit more. I got each of my kids a little something special and some chocolate heart cookies for after dinner and it is all Hunter has been talking about it. It was my bribing point this morning trying to get him dressed for school and it worked. It was the first time in a long time we were actually on the early side of morning drop off! Yay for us :) But honestly, watching my kids get excited about little things like Valentine's Day ( or as Lila calls it, Clementine's Day) makes me so happy. Seriously the best. All the cheesy cards and stuffed animals for my babies!

On to today's post...I actually bought this top for Christmas Eve and wore it with black leather pants. That's the thing about most white tops. They are truly seasonal. The one I'm wearing is the Maje Layou Top and I bought it at Bloomingdale's during one of their promotions. It's currently on sale for 50% off and also comes in a pretty orange/coral color. I ended up switching out the cami that comes with it to one of my stretchy camisoles I bought at Zara a few years back. I prefer the more fitted fit look underneath the sheer lace top. As for the jeans...(scroll down)

These are hands down my new favorite jeans. They are by Citizens of Humanity and they are the "Rocket Crop Skinny" jean in Orbit. They have a real "denim" feel to them which I love. So many jeans right now are just super stretchy and often feel slightly loose and baggy after a few wears. These are the exact opposite. They still have the perfect amount of stretch but are a thicker, higher quality denim.  This particular style comes in a ton of different washes. I also have them in a grey shade. I also love that the waist isn't super high or super low on this pair. It hits me at the perfect spot.

These shoes. These shoes have been on my radar for quite some time. I had wanted a pair of mules like this for the fall but could never find the perfect pair. I had ordered a few similar looking styles but they were either too bulky or too flimsy. The Frye "Naomi Mule" is perfect and I think it's a great transitional shoe that will easily carry over into next fall as well. If you are looking for a more budget friendly style- I love these ones!
