If you live in NYC or happened to be visiting this week, we have experienced quite the heat wave! I tend to freak out a little inside because that means I can no longer wear my beloved jeans but I have to bite the bullet and transition into dresses.
Commuting to work in the City can be quite daunting with the general hustle and bustle of rush hour, the survival of the fittest to push your way onto the subway and those days where the bus just decides to not show up for thirty minutes. Combine all of that PLUS a heat wave and you wish you just stayed home plunked down next to the AC.
So with that - enter easy, breezy dresses. Every Summer before it gets extremely warm I like to scoop up a few dresses from GAP, Old Navy & Loft that I can just rotate for my work week. These inexpensive pieces don't skimp on style!
This GAP dress was one of the first I have purchased for this season. It's honestly perfect for Spring & Summer! Only a few short weeks ago when NYC didn't feel like a frying pan, I wore this dress with these booties and this jean jacket! It was the cutest outfit for a Spring workday. I then also wore it to Mother's Day brunch with these shoes!
