Friday Favorites :: Lipsticks

It's been a while since we did a beauty post - but being the lipstick hoarder I am I thought it was time to talk about my absolute favorite lipsticks.

In the past few years I've transitioned into lipstick - more specifically buttery mattes (this is one of my favorites and only $5.99!!) It's important to find one that won't exacerbate dry lips - they should be buttery and smooth when applied. And don't be scared of lipstick - just blot ( I always do!)

My absolute favorite right now is from Beauty Counter - they are incredibly silky smooth and moisturizing (not to mention chemical free)! I can't get enough of the Currant shade.

Designer Spotlight :: Mansur Gavriel

Their bucket bags are one of the hottest purchases a girl can get her hands on. Their simplicity and colors are absolutely stunning! Not only are their bucket bags a huge hit but their other styles ( this crossbody in pink) are equally fabulous.


With their success in handbags Mansur Gavriel has just launched their first ever line of shoes! Again simple style, but the colors are to die for - not to mention they are on trend with the chunky heel!

Tuesday Shoesday :: DVF's Rimini Suede Lace Up

This past weekend, NYC experienced temps reaching 60 degrees and I was quick to start fantasizing about my Spring/Summer shoes that I have been itching to take out of the closet. Although I did not wear any heeled sandals this weekend despite the warmer temps, I remained in our staple weekend uniform - athleisure (love these pants). Instead I did some research on a few new shoes to add to my closet this Spring.

Ever since Gigi wore a red hot DVF number to the Met Gala my view on the designer greatly shifted. I still do think of DVF as an iconic brand where the printed wrap dress changed women's lives but although I was never into the wrap dress I did love her colors and sense of vibrancy in each pattern. This all leads me to our shoe we are featuring today - the Rimini suede lace up by DVF. I don't even think it needs more of an introduction. It's that good!

Friday Favorites :: Transitional Jackets

Believe it or not, spring is right around the corner and that means packing away those heavy down coats. There's nothing I love more than throwing on jeans, a tee and a light jacket once the temps are warm enough. I posted about this leather one on instagram that is my all time favorite leather jacket. The fit and style is perfect. I'm also huge fan of this jacket. We've rounded up some more favorites below. Happy Friday and enjoy the warmer temps this weekend!

Friday Favorites :: Joie

FREEZING. It is absolutely freezing today and I've never craved sunshine and warmth more than I do now (especially after browsing all of Joie's new spring shoes). Yes, Joie's new line of warm weather shoes is amazing and will have you wishing you were somewhere beachside. I'm dying for the sandals pictured above. They come in a ton of colors but I think I like the blue the best. These sandals are perfect and their simplicity will never go out of style. So many good new styles. Check them out below::

I have been eyeing a few Asha pieces for quite sometime now. There is something so special about Asha jewelry. Not only is each piece beautifully crafted, but they add another element to your outfit. We are both lucky to own the zodiac pendant necklace and ring!
