I am obsessed with flannel. Buttons downs or jammies, I think flannel is one of the coziest fabrics for fall and winter. Having gone to Nantucket most weekends this past summer, my family and I ventured up to the island for Thanksgiving. Having only been on Nantucket during it's peak season, the fall and winter there is actually very relaxing and peaceful. I enjoyed putting on my booties, bundling up in one of my favorite sweaters and taking my dog for long walks on the beach.
Knowing that the weather could really go either way, I ended up packing a few sweaters and tons of jeans. My Joie barlow booties are a staple in my fall/winter wardrobe. They are incredibly comfy, and the suede grey color goes with just about everything I own, including dresses!
As for my flannel and fedora both are from J.Crew! Each piece is a super soft fabric and was perfect for a slightly overcast day on windy Nantucket. Not only do I love this boyfriend fit flannel but I also own this one from Madewell, which is equally fabulous. I personally think fedoras (love this one!) or any type of hat can really tie together an outfit and add a little pop of style to a relatively simple outfit!
