Deck The Halls

Like just about everyone, Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I know there are some people who complain about seeing Christmas decorations in stores in October but I do not mind one bit. I have actually found over the years that the best decorations come out the day after Halloween in stores like Homegoods and Marshalls (where I pick up a good amount of Christmas garb for not too much $$).

If you follow us on Instagram then you probably saw I put up my tree last night. We I might have gone a little overboard this year and got a tree that is definitely on the bigger side. But I must say it is the perfect shape (nice and full) and I had a great time decorating it. I decided a few years ago that I wanted to decorate my tree in shades of silver and light gold. Many of my ornaments are mercury glass which look amazing next to white tree lights. I have these and these from Pottery Barn. I also added a few of these to our tree in our initials and bought this to drape over our mirror in our living room.

For me, the more glitter the better and thats why I love these ornaments from West Elm (on sale!) and these from Crate & Barrel. I also added these pretty ones to my tree and I must say they really stand out. And to top it all off I draped this garland around the tree!
