New Bedtime Reads

Hello, everyone! It's been a while. How is everyone doing?

Like many, I took the last week plus to really listen, read and learn with my main focus being on my children and family. We do a ton of reading here and read together most nights before bed and one of my goals is to really diversify our library. My children's school sent out an insightful resource guide with tons of info and books to share with our young children. I also had some great recommendations from friends and I ended up finding really amazing books on Eso Won Books (which is currently offline because they received so many orders this past week!) We ordered a bunch of books and also found some youtube read alouds.

Here are some that were recommended by friends and school. So many can be found on Eye See Me

Be Kind by Pat Zietlow Miller
Let's Talk About Race by Julius Lester (wonderful youtube read aloud)
The Little Book of Little Activists : Penguin Young Readers
You Matter by Christian Robinson
Hair Love by Matthew A. Cherry and Vashti Harrison (recommended by my friend and currently Lila's favorite book)

I also came across an Instagram account Diverse Books for Kids which is another great resource that shares books with diverse characters and stories for children.

There are tons more but I thought this roundup would be a great start!
